The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India will announce a new sub brand for MICE promotions called ‘Meet in India’ under the larger Incredible India, to position India as a preferred MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) destination for the world. A long-standing demand of the MICE industry and its umbrella body, India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB), the official announcement is expected at a joint event organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and the Madhya Pradesh Tourism in Khajuraho between March 25 and 27.
The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in association with Madhya Pradesh Tourism and India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB) will be organising a MICE Roadshow under the same banner, ‘Meet in India’, to mark the opening of the new Chhatrasal Convention Centre, Khajuraho, from March 25 to 27. ICPB has been asked to rope in 100 MICE buyers from across the country for the Khajuraho event.
The new brand campaign for MICE will also be launched from the new venue. The event will also deliberate the draft Master Plan being prepared by the Ministry of Tourism to develop Khajuraho as Iconic Destination.
As per a statement by the organisers, ICPB, the Ministry will seek participation of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Culture, ASI and other relevant Central Government Ministries and Organizations for the two-day event. The Ministry is also inviting various State Tourism Departments and some of the select City Governments. ICPB will also launch their Madhya Pradesh Chapter on the occasion.
