Although, the mega religious event, Maha Kumbh-2025 is over 17 months away but those wishing to become a part of this fair have already started making bookings. Not only tourists and devotees within the country but those from abroad have started booking trips to Prayagraj to be a part of the mega religious event, which the state government would be making a vibrant grand event.

Moreover, now with the official dates for Shahi Snan and all the major festival bath days have been announced by the district administration, tour operators are relieved as they can now finalise the plans of their customers.

J&K’s Samba shrines to be included in a tourist circuit as Swankha Mela commences

The Annual Swankha Mela, a week-long event, commenced on July 2 at the temple of Bawa Sidh Goria Nath in Swankha village of the Samba district in the UT. Devotees from various regions, including J&K, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi, attend the event, partaking in ritualistic activities. The district administration has ensured the seamless organisation of the mela, offering essential facilities and governmental scheme stalls.

In the first confirmed bookings by foreign tourists, around 50 people from different parts of the US have booked a visit and stay in Prayagraj through a local tour operator while another around 100 from different countries have already inquired about the event and the best time to visit for it through local tour operators in Prayagraj. These tour operators are offering unique experiences to visitors like heritage walks, Akhada experience, cycle tours, spiritual walks to experiencing Shahi Snans by boat, among others.
