On Wednesday, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the work on the adoptive reuse of ancient buildings, proposed temple museum and tourist facilitation centre in Ayodhya.
He directed officials to ensure that traditions associated with Lord Ram are incorporated in the museum and devotees visiting Ayodhya should be made familiar with these traditions. He said various aspects of Ramlila and Ramayan should be shown there.
The CM also said the natural beauty of Panchkosi and Chaudah Kosi routes should be maintained. After seeing a presentation on UP’s tourism, Yogi said there were limitless possibilities in the sector and the state government must make serious efforts at improving tourism possibilities in UP.
He said private assistance was being sought in reestablishing the lost glory of ancient monuments in the state. In the first phase, Lucknow’s Chhatar Manzil, Kothi Gulistan-e-Eram, Kothi Darshan Vilas and Kothi Roshan-ud-Daula, Mirzapur’s Chunar Qila, Varanasi’s Jal Mahal, Kanpur’s Shukla Talab and Bithoor’s Tikait Rai Baradari are being developed.
