India’s leading carrier, IndiGo, has announced the launch of new codeshare connections to Casablanca, Morocco, via Istanbul, effective from July 24, 2023.

With this addition, IndiGo’s expanding network of codeshare destinations in partnership with Turkish Airlines now extends to 38 destinations beyond Istanbul.

This strategic move aims to provide travellers with increased flight options and seamless accessibility, aligning with IndiGo’s vision of enhancing international connectivity.

“We are thrilled to unveil our latest codeshare connection to Casablanca via Istanbul, marking our entry into North Africa in collaboration with our esteemed partner, Turkish Airlines. As the largest city in Morocco and a vital economic and business hub, Casablanca holds tremendous promise for our customers, both for trade and tourism, including easy access to nearby cities such as Marrakesh,” stated Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo, expressed his enthusiasm.

Further, as a part of its expansion plans in the African region, IndiGo is not only introducing codeshare connections to Casablanca but also gearing up for an upcoming direct flight to Nairobi.

This move comes in response to the burgeoning demand for travel to Africa and reflects IndiGo’s commitment to providing seamless connectivity and enhanced flight options for its valued passengers. With a growing interest in exploring the diverse and vibrant landscapes of this continent, IndiGo aims to become a major player in the African aviation market.

IndiGo 2nd airline to start int'l flights from North Goa; to connect Hyderabad with Singapore

The airline has announced the introduction of new daily direct flights connecting Hyderabad and Singapore starting from October 29. From North Goa’s Manohar International airport, IndiGo will commence new route to Abu Dhabi from the coastal city and operate tri-weekly starting September 2. Air India will become the first airline to start international flights out of Mopa airport from July 21.

The introduction of these new codeshare connections further strengthens the airline’s commitment to extending its international reach.Casablanca, the economic heart of Morocco, boasts the largest port in Africa, the Port of Casablanca, appealing to both business travelers and explorers seeking a vibrant and lively destination.
