The Ultimate Travelling Camp (TUTC), known for its glamping experiences, has announced a strategic expansion plan to introduce its signature getaways to several unique destinations across India. Having already made a mark in the luxury travel segment with its nomadic tents, TUTC is now set to unveil its offerings in picturesque locales of India including Shimla, Rajasthan, and Chandigarh.
By the end of 2024, TUTC aims to establish its hospitality in nine destinations across India, more than doubling its current count of four locations.
Presently, TUTC operates the Chamba Camp Thiksey and Chamba Camp Diskit in Ladakh, the Kohima Camp in Nagaland (during the Hornbill Festival), and the Sangam Nivas Camp in Prayagraj, catering to the world-famous Kumbh Melas that take place every six years.
The brand has gained acclaim for curating glamping experiences in remote destinations like Ladakh, Nagaland, and Prayagraj as well.
This year, taking the glamping experience to the outskirts of cities, TUTC is gearing up to launch The FHR Wilderness Lodge by TUTC in Mohali, in September. Situated adjacent to the Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary near Chandigarh, the lodge is nestled within a 1000-acre nature and golf estate. Offering an ideal escape to detox from urban chaos, the property is just a 10-minute drive from Chandigarh and a 3 1/2-hour drive from New Delhi. Guests can expect modern bungalows, some with private pools, a clubhouse, a multi-cuisine restaurant, and opportunities for nature walks, birding, off-roading, and golf.Expanding its footprint within the wildlife segment, TUTC is introducing The Untamed Bandhavgarh by TUTC, a canvas-top safari experience in the ancient forests of Bandhavgarh and its National Park. With ten styled tents boasting private decks and nature views, the camp will be led by an expert team of naturalists, offering thrilling activities in the tiger-homeland from October to June each year.
TUTC’s plans further extend to include glamping experiences in Kanha and Ranthambore, Madhya Pradesh, offering three distinct habitats for tiger-spotting. Additionally, the brand is curating luxury cottages in Naldhera, nestled in the hills of Shimla, designed to operate through all seasons, catering to discerning travelers seeking unparalleled luxury.
“Expansion plans have been underway for the past few years, and we’ve meticulously scouted and selected the right locations and experiences to ensure they align with the essence of TUTC. Our focus has been on offering wildlife and super-stylish escapes within easy reach from major cities, in line with our philosophy of experiential living,” shared Rajnish Rai, Chief Operating Officer and founder member of Ultra Resorts and Hotels Pvt Ltd, the company operating TUTC.
