In a move to enhance bilateral ties and promote tourism between the two nations, Russia is all set to launch the Electronic Visa (e-Visa) system for Indian passport holders from August 1, 2023.

This development will enable Indian nationals to apply for their Russian visa swiftly and conveniently, opening the doors to an enriching travel experience.

The newly introduced E-Visa will facilitate entry into the Russian Federation for a variety of purposes, including guest visits, business trips, tourism, and participation in various events. This initiative has been designed to ensure a seamless and hassle-free visa application process for Indian tourists, reducing the need for extensive documentation and lengthy processing times.

As per the guidelines, the processing time for issuing a single-entry visa under the E-Visa system will be limited to a maximum of four calendar days. Additionally, the consular fee for the E-Visa is set at approximately USD 40, making it an affordable option for travellers wanting to explore Russia.
