By replacing conventional non-renewable energy sources with green energy, airports play a crucial role in curbing carbon emissions. In line with this vision, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has advised all operational airports with scheduled operations and developers of upcoming Greenfield Airports to prioritise the adoption of green energy. Currently, out of 86, 55 airports have achieved 100 per cent green energy consumption.
