The state government will establish medical value tourism (MVT) as a sector in itself with the ‘Heal in Rajasthan‘ brand on the lines of ‘Heal in India‘.
The government is planning many activities for which foreign tourists can be hosted in the state for improving their health through medical intervention.
“A multi-stakeholder MVT committee will be constituted for drafting a policy and a detailed action plan with budgetary provisions,” said Ravi Prakash Mathur, director of public health. The first meeting on forming the MVT was held recently under additional chief secretary, health, Shubhra Singh.

An MVT promotion strategy will also be developed along with hosting of webinar, seminars and conferences.
The health department will take support of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) to coordinate with and bring together medical associations, MVT facilitators, and health service providers on various platforms.
