Air Canada resumes daily seasonal service between Mumbai and Toronto till March 16, ET TravelWorld

Air Canada has resumed its daily seasonal service between Mumbai and Toronto, operating via London Heathrow until March 16 March, 2024. This route marks Air Canada’s third service from India and complements the airline’s exisiting year-round services from Delhi to Toronto and Montreal.

“We are pleased to resume our daily seasonal service between Mumbai and Toronto via London Heathrow,” said Arun Pandeya, Air Canada General Manager India. “This route provides greater travel choice for our customers in India, with access to our Toronto hub and beyond to destinations across Canada, including Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary. Customers can also benefit from convenient connections at London Heathrow to flights across the United States operated by our Star Alliance partner United Airlines, including, Boston, Denver, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington,” he said.

Air India deploys newly inducted B777 aircraft between Mumbai & all US destinations

This significant upgrade ensures that for the first time, all North American cities served by Air India from Mumbai will feature state-of-the-art aircraft with modern seating and inflight entertainment systems in all classes. Moreover, Air India is enhancing the Mumbai-London route, where one of its two daily flights (AI130/AI131) will operate on the new B777 aircraft, featuring modern-generation interiors and the introduction of First Class cabins.

Air Canada flight AC855 will depart from Mumbai airport for an onward journey to Toronto via London Heathrow airport at 4.25 am and land in Toronto at 3 pm. And, the Air Canada flight AC856 will depart daily from Toronto airport at 8.25 pm for an onward journey to Mumbai and land in Mumbai at 1.35 am the next day.The schedule will be in effect for Mumbai-Toronto connect till March 16 and for Toronto-Mumbai connect will March 15.

The resumed service between Mumbai and Toronto will be operated with Boeing 787-9 aircraft, accommodating 298 passengers, with a choice of three classes of service: Economy, Premium Economy, and Air Canada Signature Class. All flights are timed to optimise connections with Air Canada’s extensive North American network, the airline said.

For those travelling to the US with Air Canada, the transit is seamless when connecting in Canada. According to the airline, customers departing from India are not required to collect their bags during the transit process and can pre-clear US Customs and Immigration in Montreal and Toronto.
